ONLINE SCREENING – VASES COMMUNICANTS

November 22, 2020 By admin

EVENT – Leonard & Bina Ellen Art Gallery. Watch Edith Brunette and François Lemieux’s video Vases communicants online until November 29, 2020.

The exhibition Going To, Making Do, Passing Just the Same by artists Edith Brunette and François Lemieux is not currently accessible to the public but we invite you to participate in two related.

Following November 8th’s discussion on environmental racism and population displacements you’re invited to view Edith Brunette and François Lemieux’s video Vases communicants on our website, available until the 29th of November.

Through gestures, a landscape emerges, cobbled together and in motion. It testifies of a world crisscrossed by infrastructures that organize and cut—borders, pipelines, surveillance networks—yet also one striated by movements that evade capture—fugitive migrations, occupations, fatigue, accidents, leaks, rest. Movements of beings, things and restless materials, that leave traces and invite further breaks.
