Journal of Religion and Cultures

CALL FOR PAPERS – Deadline for submissions December 15, 2019. The Journal of Religion and Culture (JRC) is seeking papers related to the social scientific study of religion and/or culture for its upcoming 29th edition. We welcome papers from any discipline and that make use of any theoretical approach. Explorations of diverse methodological approaches, historical periods, traditions, and geographic locations are strongly encouraged. We are interested in research that challenges boundaries and exhibits a novel perspective, methodology and/or interpretation.

The JRC is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal published annually by the Department of Religions and Cultures at Concordia University. The JRC is especially committed to publishing the work of graduate students and early career scholars.

The JRC is also looking for book reviews for the upcoming edition. Book reviews should be critical and investigative readings of new and exciting publications in religious studies and/or other related fields.

Papers are to be submitted using the online submission form at www.jrc-concordia.ca/submit. Be sure to read the guidelines in detail on our website; papers that fail to adhere to the submission guidelines may be rejected.
