The Hypothèses team is pleased to announce the fourth session of its programme for the 2022-2023 season!
It will take place on Wednesday, February 15th at 5:30pm at La Guilde, on Sherbrooke West.
Entitled “Déconstruire le regard : Feminisms and the Global South,” this session will feature talks by:
Farah Jemel (PhD, Université du Québec à Montréal) “L’impact du mythe unificateur de la «Tunisianité » sur l’invisibilisation des femmes afro-tunisiennes dans les œuvres déconstruisant les stéréotypes orientalistes”
Camila de Oliveira Savoi (Maîtrise, Université de Montréal) “Employer l’impressionnisme pour dépeindre des femmes au Brésil.”
The session will be moderated by Dr. Abigail Celis, Assistant Professor at the Université de Montréal.
Hypotheses aims to spur debate beyond the institution and become a platform for discussion and reflection to encourage interactions between the academic world and the public.
